Looking forward to this immensely. Agree that everything is so fast these days....or are we just moving a lot slower?! Seriously, I was heavily into CoD in the mid 2000’s and would have considered myself a dab hand. Fast forward 15yrs after a long break due to marriage, a child and ‘life in general’ and I bloody suck at it now. It’s like my thumbs won’t move quickly enough, or in the precise direction that I want them to! Feel like a proper n00b (I think that’s what the kids are still saying these days, no?). Anyway, excited to be transported back to simpler days and relive my misspent youth. Bring it on!
I think it's a bit of both, Dale. That's pretty much the way I feel when I parachute into any kind of online gaming. It's panic-attack inducing now. I wonder whether they should have age-bands for online gaming, like they have over 30s and over 40s football kickabouts?
Explaining little purple pecker like a tortoise head retreating while bringing up Seinfeld was a touch of class. Cap dothed sir. Shes enjoyed Seinfeld so that was the easiest way to explain it, "Shrinkage" 😂
Well, this was an amazing surprise to see pop up on the ol’ twitter machine! Just listened to the first column on my drive home from seeing Sonic 2(on brand for this huh?) and knew immediately that this was definitely something for me.
If we can build half the community here that we built around the Twitch show, then this will be a very fun time! Good luck Dom!
Nice idea! The new Amiga Addict magazine (less than a year old) has now started selling in WHSmith. Amiga mag in a real shop! You should write an article in there too. :)
Gamesmaster was never ever replaced, the games, the girls, the banter and innuendo and of course the late Sir Patrick Moore, those were the days. Great to see you back sharing the passion of gaming and I really think there are so many like minded parole like me who will want to be part of this. Exciting times indeed.
Well I’m really looking forward to the book in October, you and gamesmaster were integral in so many peoples lives and gaming habits not only back then but even to this day, exciting times ahead mate!
good to hear your chat again Dom, looking forward to the inane drivvlings on current games like fukin Elden Ring that serve only to fukin frustrate the player in every way possible which im sure you will agree...anyway, looking forward to it...HH
Thanks Stevie - Elden Ring scares the shit out of me, not gonna lie. I think it would do my napper in, also it seems to take 5 billion years to play, and I've only got about 10-20 left :)
indeed...got to level 47 and rapped it...sick of it already...does ma dinger right in...keep up the work mate, i do reviews in the Daily record back homeand my mental ramblings are borne of my watching Gamesmaster days...its all your fault!! :)
Good for you, pal. It's amazing how many people I've heard from who went into some kind of games related work because of the show: apparently every single programmer between the ages of 30 and 50, for example :)
Found out from RMC and your interview with Neil. Will listen to every episode, love hearing you chat about stuff. I listen while making and repairing watches all day, love it.
No it jolly well hasn't DL34. And that is a wrong I'm going to right, like a modern day text and audio Alexander the Great!
Though tbh I can't remember if he was one of the guys that we read about as kids and thought - oh yeah he was brilliant - and then we later find out he did some shitty things. Maybe that's Genghis Khan. Either way, we will have fun!
Hey Phil AKA Boycey! What were the chances that it was Gamesmaster with DOMINIK Diamond and Save by The Bell College Years with DUSTIN Diamond that brought you and your Dad together in shared non-news listening joy! Thank God you guys didn't know about Neil Diamond or Anne Diamond, otherwise you'd have got no news at all!

I like it. Like a ‘masters’ league? A game-masters...no, that’ll never catch on.
No. Never. :)
This is giving me goosebumps!
Proud member of the, "Billy Big Ballls Club" and couldn't agree more with sentiment Dom. E-Sports, Twitch, no thanks, bag of pants 👍
Loved the try before you buy...
Looking forward to your work sir, even the wife had a chuckle as we listened along :)
Even MY wife had a chuckle!!!!

Thanks Dave. Glad you liked it and so relieved I didn't include my spoiler about Sonic dying at the end of that movie !!!
Spoil away, im never gonna watch it :) 👍

Thanks Coope - will investigate this!
Congrats Dominik! Great concept and looking forward to it. Thanks in advance for what is about to unfold!
Cheers Woby/Tidey - really appreciate the props. Is that what the kids say? "Props" ? Anyway - appreciate them!

Thanks Paul. There's so much stuff I want to write/talk about. Every five minutes I'm coming up with ideas. Really enjoying this and glad you are too!

Let’s goooooooo!
As they say in esports ;)
As someone who used to gorge on the original big purple column back in the 90’s, I cannot wait for this.
50 quid well spent!!
Bargain of the year!

Looking forward to this. I did love the 90s magazines as well as Gamesmaster. The personality and humour hasn't been replicated since.
