Great column once again Dominik. Time is my big enemy. I don't do any gaming subscriptions because it wouldn't be worthwhile. I must have accumulated 100+ must-play games in the last 15 years that, depressingly, will take up the rest of my life. Some games remain unopened or unplayed more than a decade after purchase. And with the complexity of modern games, I can't devote much time to learning controls at 10pm, especially as I might wait a couple of months before revisiting the game. But I can invest time in your podcast, so every cloud...
I hear you pal. There was a glorious month when I thought: holy shit - between this new column/podcast, The Guardian column and the SEGA Powered column I can go back to playing games all day for a living again!
And my bank manager said “you are dreaming, son, away and get yourself a new radio show and stop dicking around!”
God of War, Assassins Creed Valhalla, that Goose game, that new one where you play a stray feral cat, Outer Wilds (which my son says is the most insane gaming experience EVER… dying to play by them all. Just trying to find the time…
Ha, I get the impression the new radio show is as much a curse as it is a blessing. Don't let it stop the column/podcast. I'd probably still pay just to listen to you talking unrehearsed and unplanned shite.
Oh don’t get me wrong it is great to be back in radio. Having a break from it for a couple of years has given me a new lease of life and I noticing weird things I never noticed before - like how utterly amazing the studio headphones are! Other worldly levels of stereo and instrument separation and stuff I don’t really get on my apple AirPods 😂😂😂
